In total, the growth of electronic commerce in the country, in the period from 2016 to 2017, was 28.3% with a turnover of more than 17 billion dollars (Source: Asociación de Internet.mx). Since e-commerce is looking strong, it is expected that in 2018 the numbers will be higher.

Therefore, according to the conclusions of the study on e-commerce in Mexico 2017 made by the Internet Association, it is best to follow this trend. If you want to generate a new business or expand an existing one, it is advisable to ride the digital wave and define an e-commerce plan with the help of professional advice.

  • Logistics first

Before undertaking e-commerce, you must know the logistical challenges of the products or services to be sold. All the possibilities have to be reviewed to give the customer the best way to do it.

  • Find the mistakes

When a platform for digital commerce is ready, trial and error exercises should be carried out. It is best to do it multiple times until the result is polished. To experiment, you can use a marketplace like Ebay or Etsy, among others.

  • Take advantage of “proofs of concept”

Within the marketplace you will be able to know better how your product moves. You can also find out the things that customers buy the most, what is the best shipping method and the best price. That’s what specialists call product testing.

  • Get acquainted with ultra-segmentation

Take advantage of means such as Google and Facebook to make ultra-segmented advertising that only reaches people who can buy your product or service. Finally, over time, advertising should become increasingly natural and less intrusive. For this, you can design a digital marketing strategy.

  • Know the market
